Alea Health Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction and Scope
Welcome to Alea Health! These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services ("Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using Alea Health’s Services, you signify your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
3. Eligibility
To use Alea Health, you must be at least 18 years old and reside in a region where our Services are available. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Services Provided
Alea Health offers therapist-led, AI-assisted mental health services designed to enhance the experiences of both clients and therapists. Our Services include matching clients with therapists using a proprietary matching algorithm, providing continuous support between sessions, and monitoring therapeutic fit.
5. Client Obligations
Clients must provide accurate and complete information when using our Services. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and to use our Services only for lawful purposes.
6. Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our Services, you consent to our collection and use of your information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
7. Confidentiality
All client information is treated with the utmost confidentiality. We do not disclose any client information to third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.
8. Payment Terms
Fees for our Services are outlined on our website. Payments are due at the time of booking. We accept payment via credit card only. Sessions must be paid through the platform, and users should never accept direct payment links or make payments directly to therapists.
Modifications or cancellations of appointments are allowed up to 24 hours before the scheduled time. If a modification is made with more than 24 hours' notice, there will be no charge. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours' notice will be fully refunded. However, if modifications or cancellations are made with less than 24 hours' notice, the appointment will be non-refundable.
Alea Health may grant refunds on a case-by-case basis, such as technical difficulties that prevent access to services or dissatisfaction with the service. A No-show by the client does not constitute a valid reason for a refund.
9. Cancellation and Termination
You may cancel your use of our Services at any time. Alea Health reserves the right to terminate your access to our Services if you violate these Terms or engage in unlawful or inappropriate behavior.
10. Use of AI and Technology
Our Services leverage AI to assist in improving your experience while seeking mental health support. The use of AI is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Your licensed therapist ensures the accuracy and effectiveness of the therapy. Please be aware that AI technology is continually evolving. While we strive to ensure accuracy and safety, we advise users to consult with their therapist for any uncertainties.
11. Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability
You agree to release us from any and all claims and liabilities arising from the Therapist Services or use of the Platform, including but not limited to any action, inaction, advice, suggestion, or service provided by a Therapist, as well as any content or information available through the Platform.
You acknowledge and accept that the Platform is offered "as is," without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, security, or suitability for a specific purpose. Your use of the Platform is entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied.
You acknowledge and agree that we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages to you or any third party.
You also understand and accept that our total liability for any damages arising out of this Agreement and use of the Platform will not exceed the amount you have paid through the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.
If applicable law does not permit the limitation of liability as described above, such limitations will be adjusted only to the extent required to comply with the law.
This Limitation of Liability section will remain in effect even after the termination or expiration of this Agreement.
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our Services will be resolved through mediation or arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Dubai courts.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of any significant changes, and your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Alea Health operates.
